Seals in the electrolysis room of Sider Alloys and pollution alarm in the heart of the aluminum factory . A bolt from the blue in the industrial complex of Portovesme where the unions, for weeks, have been asking for thorough checks by the Province, Region and Mimit.

The request was accepted and the result, although largely covered by secrecy given the ongoing investigations, would be disconcerting.

The continuous requests of the last few days have given rise to the inspections on Friday . Throughout the day the checks, culminating with the seals, were concentrated in the electrolysis room which, for those not familiar with the subject, is a gigantic plant composed of 320 cells. There is total secrecy but it seems that the fears of the unions have materialized before the eyes of the technicians, both in the electrolysis room and in the rooms below where, late in the evening, what was found was placed under seizure .
