This morning, the Gup of Nuoro Giovanni Angelicchio issued a new sentence for Roberta Barabino , the former unfaithful support administrator. The defendant was sentenced to five years in prison for embezzlement and forgery, for having deceived six clients and having unduly withdrawn sums of almost 170 thousand euros .

The trial, which took place in an abbreviated trial, is in addition to the sentence of 7 years and 8 months for other deceptions of other administrators. The sentence was the conclusion of an investigation that had implicated Barabino in fraudulent activities to the detriment of vulnerable people , whose funds were withdrawn without their consent.

However, the Gup has decided to acquit Roberta Barabino of the charges related to the illicit withdrawal in the case of a person assisted through a citizen's income card, as requested by her defenders, lawyers Gianluca Sannio and Antonio Secci. The public prosecution, with the prosecutor Riccardo Belfiori, had initially requested a more severe sentence , proposing a sentence of six years and four months in prison.
