The Malvasia di Settimo San Pietro festival has now become one of the most anticipated autumn events in Sardinia .

Now in its 14th year, the event was a huge success with visitors , offering the opportunity to visit the stores, sample local produce, and tour the ethnographic museum. Claudio Mura's photography exhibition on the "Genti Settimesa" (people of Settime, 1960s), the old grain mill, and the Campidano houses, authentic jewels of the past, also featured. Among these traditional events were also moments of entertainment, including the Palio delle Botti (barrel race)—a competition involving four municipalities, won by Sinnai—and a street foosball tournament . It was a busy day.

The focus was on the local Malvasia competition, with first prize awarded by a jury of sommeliers to Davide Pili's Malvasia.

The Municipality organized it with the collaboration of local associations.

Now we need to revitalize Malvasia with new plantings. The dream is to do so with the involvement of young people, now that the Municipality of Settimo has joined the national association "Città del Vino" with the unanimous vote of the City Council. In this context, for years, efforts have been made to revitalize the land of Su Pardu with new Malvasia plantings . The current cultivated area is minimal. What remains is the quality of a product that is part of the town's agricultural culture.
