The Caritas inter-municipal cooking center did not stop even at Easter to benefit the needy of Settimo San Pietro, Sinnai and Maracalagonis . The lunch and dinner packages for today too, Easter Monday, were distributed in advance , arriving at home last Saturday. The other morning, the volunteers received a visit from the mayor of Settimo Gigi Puddu and other administrators, receiving " a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who have been offering their free time for years to help those in difficulty ". A silent work, made of passion and competence, carried out by volunteers with a single motto: «Doing good for the benefit, as the director of Caritas Don Marco Lai has said several times, of the needy, of lonely people, of the elderly and of non-self-sufficient sick people, also creating a human relationship with them".

The center was opened by Caritas nine years ago in a building owned by the Municipality of Settimo in the heart of the historic center where the kitchen was set up and from where the volunteer commuters leave with the dishes to be delivered to the poor of the three neighboring municipalities parishes, Vincentians and other voluntary associations will also be involved. Here you really always need many hands.

In the past, up to 250 meals were prepared per day. On average, around seventy are distributed. An extraordinary effort to say the least.
