Not just computers and cell phones. The Carabinieri of the provincial investigative unit of Cagliari, during searches in the office and home of Antonio Fadda, 55 years old, head of the urban planning and private construction sector of the municipality of Sestu, found and seized 3,000 euros, recovered in a jar: the same amount that the engineer took from an Italgas official for what according to investigators was a bribe.
There is therefore the suspicion - and for this reason the investigations are continuing - that the head of the technical sector of the Municipality of Sestu may have carried out other unclear conduct. Fadda is accused of attempted undue inducement to give or promise benefits . The investigation by the Carabinieri of the provincial command, coordinated by Daniele Credidio and Nicola Pilia, began after the complaint from the Italgas managers. One of the officials explained that in order to speed up the process for the construction of the first national plant for the production of hydrogen through photovoltaic energy in Sestu, Fadda allegedly asked for 6,000 euros to be delivered in two installments.
After the complaint, the carabinieri organized the meeting for the exchange of money, "marked" . In a bar in a shopping center in Sestu, Fadda would have received 3,000 euros from one of the Italgas officials. Immediately after, the engineer was stopped and taken to the barracks in via Nuoro .
Assisted by the lawyer Pierandrea Setzu he did not want to say anything. The prosecutor Nicola Giua Marassi thus ordered the precautionary custody in prison. First searches were started in his house in San Sperate and in the office of the municipality of Sestu .
