Blitz by the police in the warehouse of a company (in charge of collecting urban waste) where several thefts of diesel fuel from parked vehicles occurred.

The military was stationed nearby, surprising and arresting a 49-year-old man. The same warehouse attendant who was allegedly caught red-handed while stealing fuel ended up under accusation for aggravated theft. The operation was coordinated by lieutenant Riccardo Pirali, commander of the Sestu carabinieri station.

The man, without a criminal record, has already appeared before the judge who confirmed the arrest, however ordering his release pending the new hearing scheduled for June. The accusation against the suspect concerns only the latest theft in the warehouse. The Carabinieri are investigating to trace the perpetrators of the other attacks which were apparently carried out in recent months with a shortage of a thousand liters of fuel.
