The initiatives against violence against women continue in Sestu , to address the issue also on a cultural level. Tomorrow, Thursday, the day will be dedicated to initiatives by the Municipality . At 9:30 a red bench will be inaugurated in front of the Municipality in via Scipione, with a small ceremony and the participation of the mayor Paola Secci.
Then from 10.30 the appointment is at Casa Ofelia, for the opening of a photographic exhibition that tells emotions and reflections on the theme of gender violence represented by 5 artists.
Gloria Lecca, Rita Bachiddu, Benedetto Mameli, Stefania Scano, Pasquale Tanda will exhibit. Children and young people from schools, including the Alberghiero di Monserrato, will also participate in the event and will propose ideas and thoughts. "We will continue in December with a play", the mayor anticipates, "for my administration it is an important theme, and it must be addressed over time, not just in one day".
" Let's plant the seeds of respect and love in the minds of our children ," comments Laura Petronio, Councilor for Education, and Mario Alberto Serrau, Councilor for Social Affairs, continues: "It is essential that young people of school age become aware of this terrible situation because they are the future."
