Scary crash in Alghero: the car hits a van, then crashes into a palm tree

Scary collision between van and car this morning on the outskirts of the city of Alghero , in the roundabout in the Caragol area. The accident, at 8.10am on state road 127 bis, involved a white Opel van and a Fiat Punto.

Following the impact, the car went off the road and crashed into a palm tree . The driver was injured. The 118 health workers were on site and, after initial treatment, transferred the man to the civil hospital in Alghero. His condition is not serious .

The fire brigade team from the local detachment intervened in the emergency and ensured the safety of the vehicles involved. The local traffic police were also on site.
