Thirty days of treatment were assigned to Roberto Calaresu, the 47-year-old soldier from Carbonia who was injured in the accident on Highway 131, which occurred yesterday afternoon near Tramatza, which cost the life of Stefano Pistis, 45, from Sant'Anna Arresi, his colleague from the third Bersaglieri regiment of the Sassari Brigade, stationed in Teulada.

Calaresu is hospitalized at Brotzu: he has suffered trauma but his life is not in danger. The dynamics of the accident, for which no hypothesis is excluded, is being examined by the competent bodies.

Pistis' funeral will be celebrated tomorrow, June 5, at 4 pm, in the parish church of Sant'Anna Arresi. The rite will be officiated by Monsignor Sergio Siddi, vicar general of the Military Ordinariate for Italy, who will be assisted by the military chaplain of the third Bersaglieri regiment, Father Antonio Atzeni.
