Sassari, watches child pornography videos on the phone: arrested

Arrested for viewing child pornography on Telegram, Viber and Signal. This morning in Sassari, a thirty-eight-year-old from the Sassari hinterland appeared before the investigating judge Giuseppe Grotteria after his cell phone was confiscated by the postal police three days ago.

The man, by clicking on an invitation link from instant messaging applications, ended up on a site with images of sexual relations between minors under 18, and even 10, with adults.

The suspect, defended by lawyers Margherita Tsatsaris and Cristian Porcu, declared himself innocent and that he ended up there by mistake without downloading anything.

The preliminary investigations judge validated the arrest, leaving the person free, but forwarded the documents to the Cagliari prosecutor's office because it has jurisdiction, at the island level, over the specific crime.
