Sassari, the University inaugurates the 462nd academic year with Cardinal Zuppi

The Municipal Theater of Sassari will host the inauguration of the 462nd academic year of the University of Sassari on Monday 19 February at 11am. Guest of honor was Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi , president of the CEI, the Italian Episcopal Conference.

In the presentation of the event, the rector Gavino Mariotti and the archbishop Gian Franco Saba explained: «He is the man who is trying to build peaceful relations between states , who is working for the peaceful coexistence of the human community as Pope Francis underlines ».

Cardinal Zuppi's lectio magistralis is entitled "The pillars for peaceful coexistence in the light of the encyclical Fratelli tutti, by Pope Francis".

The Tenores of Bitti "Remunnu 'e Locu" will also take part in the inauguration ceremony, returning from the experience at the Sanremo festival with Mahmood.
