The local Police organizes the conference "I say No to drugs" and meets the students - Monday 28 from 9 at the Cine Teatro Astra in Sassari - to present the activities of the Command in the context of two projects financed entirely by the Ministry of the Interior: " Safe schools" and "Prevention and fight against drug dealing in the municipal area".

About three hundred students will participate in the event , which includes a theatrical performance by the "Bobo Scianel" company.

One of the thirty Totems containing the slogan "I say no to drugs" which will be displayed in all the city's middle schools will be handed over to a school manager and the 2023 local police calendars will be distributed to the students with the same message.

The projects - The first, aimed at planning and carrying out actions aimed at preventing and repressing drug dealing in schools, has made it possible to develop moments of awareness, training, discussion, with the students of the secondary education institutes of second degree of the municipal area, and beyond. The canine nucleus of the Local Police of Sassari was also structured and control activities were started along the areas near the schools, with the aim of monitoring the phenomenon of substance use by young students.

The second, carried out in the three-year period 2020-2022, had a wider dimension and range of action being aimed at preventing and combating drug dealing in the municipal area. Even for its implementation, particular value has been attributed to the awareness of young people on the risks associated with the consumption and dealing of drugs. At the same time, the controls in the area were strengthened, especially in the areas most exposed to the onset of this phenomenon.
