Three years of contract, 17 thefts . The kiosk on Via Gennargentu, in the Sant'Orsola district of Sassari , has a record-breaking list of successes.

"We won the tender of the Municipality in 2022 - says Giuseppe Piroddu who manages the structure in the Adelasia Cocco park with his brother Gianni - and they stole everything from us". The last theft dates back to last night when the usual unknown people robbed the kiosk .

"Taking away - continues Giuseppe who today filed a complaint at the police station - money, drinks, equipment, coffee machines ". In the summer, however, it is always the ice creams that disappear. "They steal them and then try to resell them".

The latest theft suffered by the Piroddu brothers, animators of the famous folk group Ruseddu, has left more wounds than usual. " We wanted to be a point of reference for the neighborhood but now, given what we are suffering, we are throwing in the towel. We will not participate in the new contract ." Even the economic loss is now greater than the benefits. "We need cameras and surveillance - concludes Giuseppe - We had asked the previous administration without success, we hope for this one."
