Two years, two months and 20 days in prison.

Yesterday in court in Sassari the sentence, pronounced by judge Paolo Bulla, was handed down to a 32-year-old man held responsible for residential burglary aggravated by violence against property. Because the man, in January 2020, had torn down the entrance door of a house in the Turritan capital with the aim of stealing.

But in the attempted break-in he had broken a glass, injuring himself with the splinters and then losing blood inside the building. In particular on a sweater and a kitchen towel, leaving blood traces later collected, during the investigations, by the Cagliari RIS.

Laboratory analyzes revealed the profile of the accused who was already involved in similar crimes. The prosecutor Antonio Pala had asked for 2 years and 8 months of imprisonment while the defense lawyer, Andrea Piroddi, tried to question the correctness of the blood tests, also taking into account the months that passed between the sampling and the analysis.
