Dozens of kilos of meat stolen from a well-known restaurant in Sassari for a potential value of 70 thousand euros. This is the accusation against a Tritus employee, arrested yesterday by the State Police Mobile Squad as he left the business with a backpack filled with quality meats. The owner of the restaurant had noticed for some time a discrepancy between the takings, the goods purchased and what was left in the pantry.
Following some checks, the entrepreneur found that someone was taking some food from the restaurant given by suppliers. Further investigations carried out by a private investigator would have led to the surprise of an employee while, for several days in a row, he was taking away the meat in a backpack. From there the complaint until yesterday's arrest of the suspect by the police officers.
The entrepreneur, assisted by the lawyer Ivano Iai, believes that the loss could amount to around 70 thousand euros and would be due to the disappearance of other consumer goods. Today in court in Sassari the summary trial will be held. The hypothesis, yet to be proven, is that the alleged thief could have distributed the meat in other premises in the area.
