Serious mourning for Sassari politics. Dario Satta, 70, a retired former employee and Communist leader, died after illness. Raised in the PCI of Sassari, under the wing of Enrico Berlinguer, Dario Satta became a party official and in the 1980s a member of the federal secretariat. Following his passage to the Communist Refoundation, a political formation in which he assumed roles of great importance, such as that of provincial secretary (from 2011 to 2014). In Sassari, on the Rifondazione list, Dario Satta was also elected City Councilor, a position he held from 2005 to 2010.

He was currently still a federal executive and member of the Regional Political Committee. Polite and respectful person, always consistent in his ethical, moral and political principles, Dario Satta was highly esteemed throughout Sardinia.

His death aroused deep condolences not only in the Sardinian left, but in every political force and social organization.

He leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

Dario Satta's funeral will take place today at 3:30 pm in Sassari, in the church of San Giovanni Bosco in via Washington.
