On Saturday at 8 pm in the church of San Pietro in Silki in Sassari the Prometeus ensemble will meet, welcoming back Alberto Sanna, a violinist and musicologist from Sassari who has lived in Great Britain for many years, artistic and educational director of Early Music as Education and of its youth orchestra, the Early Music Youth Orchestra .
Alberto Sanna reunites with Alessandro Puggioni on the violin, Federica Are on the cello, Calogero Sportato on the baroque guitar, Stefano Demicheli on the harpsichord and Andrea Lubino on percussion.
Pro.Me.Te.US was born in Sassari in 1995 as an acronym for Progetto Mediterraneo Terre Uomini Suoni , for a proposal for cultural development aimed at geographical areas excluded from the major economic circuit and at those sections of society that are generally not interested in musical events that are not mass.
With the Prometeus concert, the Dolci Accenti association of Sassari closes an intense edition of the “ Note senza tempo… ” festival which this year has brought high-level cultural moments to numerous centres in Northern Sardinia through well-known personalities.
