Investigations in Sassari after the death of a 62-year-old .
The man was found lifeless on the sofa in his home, while a fire had broken out in the kitchen .
To be clarified whether the death occurred from monoxide poisoning or whether the man had a previous illness .
The alarm went off before 3pm when the 115 operations center received a fire report in a house in Predda Niedda . A team of firefighters, agents of the Flying Squad and 118 immediately arrived on the spot.
Upon entering the house, they found the kitchen on fire and the owner of the house, lying on the sofa, unconscious. The firefighters immediately took the 62-year-old outside the house, but there was nothing more to be done , the man was already dead.
The police are investigating the incident .
