The invitation of the University of Sassari to the inauguration of the academic year to Antonio Razzi, the former member of parliament of the IDV, who later joined the ranks of Forza Italia, a well-known figure for his utterances, his impromptu videos and also appearances on TV, has raised a tide of controversy, especially in social networks.

His selfies with those present and above all the one with the president of the Region Christian Solinas have made the rounds of the network, amidst perplexities, inferences and sometimes insults.

Today to quell the controversy, the Magnificent Rector of the University Gavino Mariotti intervenes, who also offers the background of the facts, in a piqued, but also very ironic way.

"These controversies about the presence at the inauguration of the academic year of the former parliamentarian Antonio Razzi sadden me - he explains - Razzi called me very politely the day before and asked me if there were places available. I answered yes, as if to anyone who asked me in possession of a green pass. The former parliamentarian did not intervene, he sat in the tenth row and behaved very correctly, like all the 650 people present. On him - he continues - I see an unjustified persecution . Neither was Matteo Messina Denaro or another dangerous fugitive, or even a thief. He is still a former parliamentarian and I think that all of us - he concludes - at least as a person, must respect him and not cover him with shameful insults ".
