Released today in court in Sassari at the end of the direct hearing, the twenty-eight-year-old Nigerian national arrested yesterday in via La Marmora by the local police. The man had been reported to the police because he had threatened some foreigners with a long pointed stick due to neighborhood tensions.
The Municipal Police officers arrived when the man had just returned home and proceeded to search the apartment. They found one and a half ovules of cocaine, one gram of MDMA, a little marijuana and 130 grams of codeine, usually used as a cutting agent . From there, the arrest was triggered for possession of narcotics, the only charge contested to the non-EU citizen.
For the man, defended by the lawyer Giuseppe Onorato, the prosecutor Paola Manunza had requested house arrest. Judge Paolo Bulla, while validating the arrest, did not order other precautionary measures .
