Uncontrolled green passes, clubs transformed into illegal clubs and discos, blaring music beyond midnight.
Burst of checks and fines during the weekend in Sassari: between via Savoia, via degli Astronauti, via Saba, via Luna e Sole, via Asproni, via Predda Niedda, industrial zone Predda Niedda, via Caniga, viale Porto Torres, via Matteotti, via Amendola, piazza santa Maria and via Pascoli.
There are 17 fines imposed, after checks often carried out also on notification of citizens.
Verbal notifications were also made to clubs transformed into illegal clubs and discos, which will now have to pay 5 thousand euros, and bars that have not stopped the music at midnight, as required by the union ordinance, creating gatherings and disturbing the sleep of the residents of the area.
During the operations, the agents of the local police, in addition to the lack of control of the green pass, also found in some places a higher number of customers than expected to combat the spread of the coronavirus: owners and managers risk penalties among 400 and a thousand euros.
And not only because in Sassari the trade union ordinance provides, for those who do not respect the anti-Covid rules, in addition to the sanctions imposed at the national level, the closure of the premises already from the first violation. Even for a customer sitting at a pizzeria table, a 400 euro fine was issued because she did not have a green pass. On the other hand, a bar was sanctioned twice in a row.
"The results of the checks carried out by the local police over the weekend unfortunately certify that there are many activities that do not respect the rules - the comment of the mayor Nanni Campus - I invite the Federation to collaborate with the supervisory bodies in the interest of the community but also of the same category. We must all work hard to avoid meeting the Christmas holidays with possible, indeed probable if the trend is not reversed, limitations on openings ".
