Advances and thefts between cousins.
A 74-year-old was acquitted in court in Sassari, accused of stealing two thousand euros in gold jewelery from his cousin, including watches and earrings.
An event which, according to the accusation, would have occurred in 2018 after the woman, who had since died, had reconnected with her relative, asking him for support, unable to move due to the after-effects of surgery, for the expense of supermarket and other errands that the man frequently performed.
Until, as the over seventy year old reported at the hearing and as the defense lawyer Marco Palmieri recalled in the discussion, the elderly woman attempted explicit approaches with the family member from whom he withdrew.
Then thanks to a physical problem that limited his mobility, the man moved away from the old woman, perhaps provoking her reaction.
And if the public prosecutor Antonio Piras had asked for an eight-month prison sentence, judge Sara Pelicci instead ordered acquittal in favor of the 74-year-old for not having committed the crime.
