Antonio Chessa, the boy from Sassari who was the victim of a serious accident on 20 October in the local road of San Quirico, dies at the age of 19. The death, after two months of agony, took place late yesterday evening in the intensive care unit of the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital, where he had been hospitalized after a violent crash into a wall aboard his two-wheeler.

The boy had lost control of the bike as he was driving down the country road to go home. In the impact he was thrown to the ground. The 118 health workers had intervened on the spot: his condition immediately appeared serious. The young man had no documents on him and only during the night did the mother receive news about the health of her son from the health workers, when she realized that Antonio had not returned home. On social networks, relatives and friends have addressed messages and thoughts of pain and despair for the loss of a young life.
