Sarroch, off the road with his scooter: a 58-year-old worker dies

The violent impact against a pole in via Cagliari and then the disastrous fall from his scooter: a tragic accident this morning in Sarroch, where Gianni Tinti, a 58-year-old worker, lost his life.

The accident occurred around 7 in the morning, in the main street of the town. Tinti was headed home when, perhaps due to an illness or falling asleep, he lost control of his scooter and crashed into the sign indicating the presence of the pedestrian crossing.

After the impact, the unfortunate centaur fell to the ground, while the scooter crashed into a stopped bus a few meters ahead.

The attempts to save the 58-year-old's life by the 118 doctors were useless: Gianni Tinti's heart stopped beating shortly after.

The Carabinieri from the local station intervened on site, assisted by colleagues from Cagliari, and the Barracella company from Sarroch.

After the green light from the magistrate on duty, the body was transferred to the morgue of the town cemetery.
