The citizens were the first to notice that those bills were inflated, having received invoices of 1000 percent for the supply of propane air: this has now been certified by the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment, which will correct the new tariffs imposed by Enilive Sardegna. It is not yet clear how much the bills of the Sarrochesi will be reduced, currently frozen after the wave of protests for the excessive increases in the supply of fuel, the only certain thing is that the figures requested two months ago would not be at all congruent.

In a note sent to the Municipality, Arera reassures the approximately 800 users who use the service provided by Enilive Sardegna: « The fuel distribution rates determined for 2025 for the Enilive operator in Sardinia will have to be modified because they were calculated on incorrect annual reference volumes . Arera will officially proceed with the adjustment of the rates as soon as Enilive communicates the correct data».

For the municipal administration, which has followed the matter from the beginning, making a united front against excessive increases, this is positive news. Mayor Angelo Dessì, on behalf of the majority council group “Entu Estu” and the minority groups “Noi per Sarroch” and “Sarroch al centro Progressisti”, explains how the municipal administration expects further developments in the coming days: «We will continue to dialogue with Arera and the Enilive company, monitoring the evolution of the situation until certain and definitive data are available. As soon as we have a clear picture of the new tariffs, we will organize a public meeting to inform all citizens. We remain convinced that the tariffs identified by the company in recent months are not at all appropriate ».

Armando Deiana, a bakery owner, is the symbol of those Enilive users who were left speechless after receiving the latest gas bill: "The fact that the rates will have to be revised is certainly positive, the 6,000 euros of the last bimonthly bill in January and February - compared to a figure that previously ranged between 1,900 and 2,200 euros - are an exaggerated cost . Enilive justified these increases with the fact that they had carried out work on the systems, it's as if tomorrow I doubled the price of bread because I bought a new scale. Since I received that bill I only work with the electric oven, I hope that the price of propane air can return to tolerable levels".
