More than 85 thousand people checked , 2,700 licenses withdrawn, 34 thousand violations detected and 824 motorists fined for drunk driving: these are just some of the numbers relating to the checks carried out in 2024 by the Highway Police on the main arteries of the Island.

Among other data, 4,220 violations for speeding were detected and 74,319 points were deducted from the license.

Those reported for driving under the influence of narcotics were 54.

The activity carried out by the judicial police instead allowed the arrest of 6 people and the reporting in a state of freedom of 652 subjects. Also seized were more than 2 kilos of narcotics and 900 grams of explosive materials.

A total of 215 public establishments were checked (auto repair shops, car dealerships, driving schools, body shops, car registration agencies, car dismantlers) and 47 infringements were detected.
