Sardinia continues to be gripped by severe weather: rain and thunderstorms expected on Saturday, orange alert in the south.
Only the northern part of the island was spared by the Civil Protection warning.

More bad weather in Sardinia, particularly in the southern part of the island: Cagliari, Campidano and Sulcis .
The Civil Protection has issued a warning for the whole of tomorrow, Saturday 31 January , when rain and thunderstorms will hit the island.
The warning is yellow for flood and hydrogeological risk in the Montevecchio Pischinappiu and Tirso warning areas. In the Flumendosa Flumineddu warning area, a yellow code is issued for flood, hydrogeological risk, and storms .
Going south, on Iglesiente and Campidano, the alert is yellow for hydraulic risk and storms, orange for hydrogeological risk .
Northern Sardinia—the Gallura and Logudoro warning areas—will be spared this new wave of bad weather, according to forecasts.
