Nadia Matta, mayor of Santa Teresa Gallura, announced last night that she had signed 5 ordinances prohibiting bathing on the beaches of La Marmorata, Porto Quadro, Cala Sambuco, Rena Bianca.

"The intense and extraordinary rains - he wrote - have unfortunately caused spills in the waters of our coast, as in other coasts throughout Italy, making bathing temporarily unsafe. We are aware of the inconvenience that this situation causes, especially for those who have chosen our municipality as a destination for their summer holidays. However, safety and public health are our absolute priority".

The mayor added that she is "working closely with the competent authorities and specialized technicians to constantly monitor the quality of the water and resolve this situation as soon as possible."

Fortunately, Santa Teresa offers other beautiful beaches and more, so, concludes Nadia Matta, addressing especially tourists, «I invite you to explore the other wonders of our territory, from natural beauties to places of cultural interest, which continue to make our Municipality a special destination».
