« The architects of this bad show are not the tourists, on December 4, unfortunately, there are none. It's us, only us ». As full of indignation as they are of bitterness, the words of mayor Nadia Matta, posted on her Facebook page together with two photos with the abandoned rubbish; a problem, this, which does not concern, to tell the truth, unfortunately, only Santa Teresa Gallura. «For a few uncivilized people, all the others risk no longer having the ecological islands available, created exclusively to confer household waste and only exceptionally. Furthermore - the mayor continued - there is the risk of having to be forced to increase the tax relating to waste, in fact the more undifferentiated waste is produced, the more the costs that the Municipality must bear to take care of urban hygiene increase".
Nadia Matta specifies that, thanks to the video surveillance cameras present in the vicinity of some drop off points, the local police were able to identify the perpetrators, people who use «the drop off points as if they were a landfill, even delivering waste material », and is to issue sanctions.
