The search for the two missing people from the fishing vessel "Luigino" will resume tomorrow morning, weather permitting.

If the situation continues to be adverse tomorrow, the 4th Coast Guard Submarine Unit from Cagliari will be evaluated for deployment on Saturday (when improved weather conditions are expected to allow safe operations) to search for the fishing vessel using ROVs.

It's a submarine controlled by a wire from a surface station, used for exploration and inspection where humans can't reach, as in this case. Equipped with cameras, lights, and sometimes mechanical arms, they are connected via an "umbilical cable" that transmits data and power.
