His name was synonymous with fun.

Maurizio Loi marked an era in the world of nightlife: at the Oleandro in Santa Maria Navarrese, the club opened in 1992 in via dei Cavalieri, two generations of young people danced. A sudden illness took his life. He was 61 years old and originally from Lotzorai. The rescue operations that took place yesterday, around 10 pm, in his home in the hamlet of Baunei were useless.

Two crews were sent from the 118 headquarters in Sassari: the Croce Bianca of Baunei and the medicalized person who arrived from the hospital in Lanusei. But for the entrepreneur, who was also the owner of the Istiddha bar on the Tancau seafront (Lotzorai), there was nothing that could be done.
