They stole clothes from a shop in Sanluri , then tried to escape by punching a shop assistant in the face who had tried to prevent them from escaping .
A 28 year old woman and a 31 year old man , both residents of Cagliari and already known to the police , were stopped and arrested by the Carabinieri , who promptly intervened after the alarm was raised on 112, in the vicinity of the shop .
The stolen items of clothing, worth approximately 580 euros, were recovered and seized , while the shop assistant , a 43-year-old, was assisted by 118 medical personnel and transported to the hospital in San Gavino : he suffered minor injuries.
The arrested, at the end of the formal procedures, were transferred to prison in Uta , where they remain at the disposal of the Judicial Authority. They must answer for robbery and personal injury.
