In San Nicolò d'Arcidano, Banco di Sardegna has closed its doors permanently. A significant problem for citizens, especially for the elderly and those without cars. For those who have difficulty reaching the Terralba branch, the bank closest to the town, a van could soon arrive. This is the promise that the company's top management made to the mayor.

The municipal administrators, after various protests but also the announcement of a possible transfer of the treasurer of the Municipality to another bank, were welcomed by the management of the Banco di Sardegna for a meeting a few days ago: "We reiterated that the closed bank will create several problems for the citizens - explains the mayor Davide Fanari - But it is also true that the decision regarding the closure had already been made. However, the leaders decided to meet us halfway, they promised to make a vehicle available at least twice a week with specific times to reach the Terralba bank. But also to activate, but it is not yet known where and from when, a counter for microcredit. Now we wait to see if these promises will become reality".

Meanwhile, the mayor announces that he will shortly call a public meeting to explain the outcome of the meeting to the entire population: "The citizens must know what the Municipality has done since the management of Banco di Sardegna announced that it would close its doors at the end of November, but also the promises announced. We have done everything to explain to the top management that most people have an account at Banco di Sardegna and that very few operate online with their smartphones. But nothing, they talk about few accounts and few transactions".
