A beautiful festival of music and colors. So yesterday evening, in front of a very large audience, the mural " Trighendi " was inaugurated in San Gavino Monreale , created on an Enel cabin by the Sangavinese artist Giorgio Casu with the support of the volunteers of the cultural association "Skizzo", which in a few years have made San Gavino an open-air museum that can be visited 365 days a year.
The president of the association, Ivan Licari, is enthusiastic: “This new masterpiece by Giorgio Casu, promoted by our association, is part of the urban redevelopment project of San Gavino Monreale. This work, which involved the electrical substation in Via Villacidro, aims to be a container for the memory of the grain routes and to recall the colors of the land of San Gavino Monreale and its territory. The work is part of an imagined and evolving path, already begun with the previous intervention by Guspini and Siliqua, it retains some graphic signs but varies in the substance of the subject and in the colors. Starting from the three-dimensionality of Enel cabins, a constant and recurring presence in our landscapes, the artist imagines them transforming into many containers, ready to welcome emotions, sounds and ideas of the time ".
