Andrea Giuntoli remains in prison. This is the decision of the Review Court for the 43-year-old accused of the murder of Francesco Salis, the bricklayer killed by a gunshot on the night of August 9th in Santa Giusta.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues and on Friday there will be another important step: at 12, consultant Emanuela Locci will be assigned the task of carrying out toxicological tests on the biological samples taken from Salis' body during the autopsy and verifying the blood alcohol level and any drug use in the hours preceding his death.

The Prosecutor's Office has in fact accepted the request presented in recent days by the lawyer Patrizio Rovelli, who is assisting Giuntoli, to have further elements and clarify every aspect of the case. We are also waiting for the results of the investigations on the cell phones and on the car used by the worker, immediately after the murder, to return to his home where he was then tracked down by the Carabinieri.

According to a reconstruction by the military, Giuntoli and Salis had spent the evening in a bar in the center and then there was a word too many, apparently an appreciation to a niece of Salis. Then the meeting in via Dante, where Salis would have shown up with another man (the niece and a friend were also there) holding a billhook. At that point Giuntoli in a last attempt to defend himself would have fired the fatal shot. For the defense it would be self-defense; Salis' family is assisted by the lawyer Fabio Costa.
