From 29 April to 3 May, international appointment with great competitive sailing at the Windsurfing Club Cagliari.

For the first time in the Gulf of Angels, the Nacra 15 European Championships. Competing for the title are crews from all over Europe, as well as from America, Tahiti and Australia, ready to compete on 67 boats.

The Nacra 15, a semi-foiling catamaran equipped with two curved daggerboards that allow lifting from the water, preparatory to the transition to its big brother Nacra 17, an Olympic sailing class, is increasingly popular for its great versatility and performance. It is also the class with which the ISAF World Youth Championships are contested, whose scheme includes a mixed crew under 19, and the Youth Olympic Games.

The Italian fleet is competitive, with 20 boats and pilots such as Alessandro Vargiu and Grace Fedeli of the WCC, light wind experts, and Gabriele Usai and Noa Lisci, lovers of stronger winds. The YCC athletes are also ready to battle with the Sirena-Dessì and Ghiani-Zonca crews. From the rest of the peninsula, among others, the reigning Italian champions Enrica Morelli with Stefano Troiano (Svagamente di Pescara) and the numerous Roman fleet of the Nacra 15 are participating.

Also competing are world champions Daniel and Nora Garcia de La Casa, along with other prominent athletes from Belgium, France and Hungary.

The first test, after the days dedicated to registrations, measurements and practice races, will be on Monday 29th at 1.00 pm. 5 days of regattas are scheduled, for a maximum of 18 races, until Friday 3 May.
