Three years ago, in December 2021, the sensational protest: the mayor of Iglesias had moved into a tent in the Cto of Iglesias to protest against the announced blocking of the hospital's Surgery.
Today the good news, celebrated with a popped champagne: «Today, at a distance» of thirty-six months, «from that sensational occupation, Cto surgery is growing: 500 people have had the surgical treatment they needed».
The situation was unblocked on Christmas Eve of that year of battle. The mayor of Iglesias was preparing to spend the third night in the premises of the Cto when around 6:30 pm the revocation of the provision arrived signed by the director of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Unit, Aldo Clemenza. The anesthetists arrived and the mayor was able to dismantle the tent. And today, celebrate.
