One dead and one seriously injured is the tragic outcome of an accident on the 292 “NordOccidente Sarda” state road, near Riola Sardo .
For reasons that are still under investigation, a refrigerated van and a Fiat 500 collided at kilometer 115. Rescue efforts were in vain for the motorist, Ivan Iervolino, 50 years old.
The driver of the refrigerated vehicle was stabilized and taken to hospital by helicopter.
Traffic was blocked in both directions for hours, the road was then reopened in the late morning.
