Resignations of doctors due to non-payment of services in the extraordinary local community clinics, the mayors of Padru, Antonello Idini, of Monti, Emanuele Mutzu, and of Oschiri, Roberto Carta, today sent a complaint to the Public Prosecutor's Office to report «the interruption of the public basic health care service". They ask to «ascertain any omissions or delays in the adoption of the administrative and accounting acts that caused these disservices».
The first citizens of Gallura, a few days ago, had denounced the situation and asked the Gallura Local Health Authority for explanations, in vain, with a return of responsibility to the Region. The Gallura Local Health Authority, in a note, specified that "all outstanding payments for additional services carried out in the Gallura municipalities will be paid shortly because the bureaucratic problems that had caused the blocking of the procedures have been overcome".
The three mayors commented thus: «We would never have thought we would get to this point but our citizens are waiting for answers: there are chronically ill people who don't know how to treat themselves because they don't have a GP to refer to».
