Renewables: The Ministry of Defense: "No photovoltaic park on Sant'Elia Hill"
Comandini: "The areas in question have been excluded from the national tender." Truzzu: "It doesn't surprise us."Video di Roberto Murgia
No photovoltaic park will be built on the Sant'Elia hill in Cagliari.
The Ministry of Defense communicated this to the President of the Regional Council, Piero Comandini, who announced it to the Chamber today.
"Following the initiatives undertaken by the Sardinia Region, the Regional Council, and the Municipality of Cagliari," the announcement reads, "Minister Crosetto has informed us that the areas in question have been removed from the national call for tenders to identify military zones to be made available for renewable energy production sites."
Comandini thanks Crosetto, "who has captured the spirit of our initiatives to defend a particular area." "We will continue along this path to defend all the important areas of our island."
This "confirmation" "doesn't surprise us," comments Paolo Truzzu, leader of the Brothers of Italy group in the Regional Council. "We were certain, even more so after Minister Crosetto's reassuring words, that those areas would be excluded from the national call for proposals to identify military zones to be made available for renewable energy production sites, especially since they are already subject to restrictions. We welcome this and reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding the island's valuable areas ."
