"Piazza del Carmine, not Piazza del crimine": two hundred signatures in less than two hours at Vannacci's party gazebo.
The petition launched in Cagliari is based on ten points, headed by the reinstatement of the ban on bivouacking and the strengthening of urban security.Video di Mauro Madeddu
The first step is to reinstate the ban on camping and strengthen urban security, including a special plan to secure the historic center and actions to combat urban degradation and protect urban livability.
Ten points underlie the petition launched in Cagliari by the regional and provincial leaders of Futuro Nazionale, General Vannacci's party, against the degradation of Piazza del Carmine and the historic center of the capital. This morning, in Piazza del Carmine, local party representatives set up a gazebo to collect signatures: over two hundred in less than two hours.
"The initiative"—Piazza del Carmine, not Piazza del crimine—"was born because the condition of Cagliari's historic center is currently becoming increasingly uncontrollable," explains Filippo Candio, deputy regional director and Cagliari 486 representative for Futuro Nazionale. "Piazza del Carmine has two opposing sides: in the morning until early afternoon, it's a normal space, frequented by families, while in the evening it transforms into a no-man's land, frequented by people with various problems. The initiative aims to raise awareness of the fact that some people are being abandoned. Futuro Nazionale doesn't oppose anyone. We are a proactive party that looks to the future and doesn't want to leave anyone behind ."
Ten points, as mentioned. These become 11 if we include the request for an "urban DASPO," a ban on access to certain places to protect decorum and safety. "We ask the City Council to intervene, acting within its powers. Our initiative is not a political act against the mayor, but an act of responsibility towards the city."
