At Villa Devoto, in Cagliari , the President of the Region received the Israeli ambassador Dror Eydar, a visit not only to an institution but also an opportunity to forge ever closer relations between the island and Israel.

Christian Solinas and the diplomat, accompanied by a large delegation, talked about high technology applied to agriculture, the correct use of water, the fight against grasshoppers and renewable energy.

In particular, as regards the plague of locusts, Israeli technology can represent an important help thanks to innovative tools already tested. The technicians will have a confrontation with the Sardinian Civil Protection to study contrast interventions and in the next few days inspections will be carried out in the areas most affected by the phenomenon.

Of great importance, then, is the news announced by the ambassador in relation to recent archaeological excavations in the area of Mount Carmel, in the upper Galilee. A city has emerged built with architectural elements attributable to the Nuragic ones, which would demonstrate the presence of Sardinian populations in a period identified between the twelfth and eleventh centuries BC.
