"No to barbarian invasions": from Carbonia to San Gavino the "Aeolian Monsters" parade at the Carnival

Concern over energy speculation threatening Sardinia also erupts in the Carnival celebrations – always a starting point for sarcastically addressing the most burning current issues – which took place over the weekend.
In many municipalities of the island, floats and costumes with a “theme” have appeared. At the parade held on Sunday in Carbonia , for example, a group of participants from Perdaxius dressed up as “wind turbines” .
In San Gavino , instead, a real "Wind Monster" paraded through the streets, accompanied by the writing: "Barbarian invasions" ( VIDEO ). A playful way to give voice to the widespread fears for the many energy and speculative projects that affect the island.
