"Let's save Ukrainian children": but behind the non-profit organization there is a scammer. Investigations in Serrenti
A 31-year-old Swiss denounced by the carabinieri, after having made a Sardinian woman believe that he can entrust her with a minor fleeing the war. Then the attempt to steal money from her account

Aggravated fraud and abusive access to a computer system. These are the accusations that a thirty-year-old Swiss resident in Mogliano Veneto, already known to the police, will have to answer, who has ended up in the crosshairs of the carabinieri of the Serrenti station.
All this after the denunciation of a woman, who had made contact with the 30-year-old after the latter had passed off as an operator of a non-profit organization called "Let's save children in war". In fact, the woman intended to have a child in foster care fleeing the war in Ukraine , with the aim of asking for his definitive adoption.
But, unfortunately for her, it was just a scam: the 30-year-old first acquired the data and documents of the unfortunate person and then also tried to access her bank account without her knowledge, without being able to unduly withdraw any sum.
After realizing that she had been duped, the woman then turned to the carabinieri, who managed to track down the scammer, reporting him to the judicial authorities.
