The Carabinieri of the Siniscola and Isili company reported 3 people for illegal possession and manufacturing of explosive materials, seizing several illegal devices, dangerous and unauthorized goods.

On December 27, the police at the Sadali station reported a 50-year-old: during a search, the soldiers found onions, paper bombs and pyrotechnic objects, all handcrafted. The bomb squad of the investigative unit of the provincial command of Nuoro proceeded with their destruction.

The Siniscola police reported 2 people and seized various material , including: explosives precursors (potassium nitrate, sulphur, aluminum powder); 2 totally artisanal products and various materials for their creation (scales, measuring cups, funnels and metal tools). Also in this case, the material was made safe by the anti-sabotage squad of the Carabinieri Provincial Command of Nuoro for subsequent destruction.

The bomb squad advises: «Never purchase and never use prohibited fireworks; buy only from authorized dealers; supervise in case of use by minors; the improper use of fireworks - of any type - can lead to serious consequences (burns, loss of fingers, hands, sight and more serious injuries); read and follow the instructions carefully, checking that the product is in excellent condition or that it shows no signs of humidity or damage that could cause gunpowder to leak; do not wear easily flammable clothing and keep an adequate distance; do not attempt to light unexploded barrels found on the street and avoid touching or picking them up; use fireworks in open places, away from people and flammable material; do not combine or light multiple fires at the same time; place the fire on a flat surface or, in the case of rockets, perfectly vertical, and do not use glass bottles; never hold rockets, candles or firecrackers with your hands; do not light rockets or firecrackers with short fuse; never throw or direct firecrackers or rockets towards people; never explode firecrackers or rockets in bottles or fragile containers, because if they break they can produce dangerous splinters; do not build firecrackers of larger size/power using powders from more than one device".
