A praise to the Nuoro healthcare system and the neonatal intensive care unit of the San Francesco hospital. This is what emerges from the email sent to the ASL 3 by a young couple, resident in a town in the Province.
In the letter, the young parents of a baby girl tell the story that led to their hospitalization: " Our first daughter was born on 01/08 - the two write - who, following a difficult birth, has been hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit of the San Francesco hospital since 21/08 ."
Hence, the emphasis on the difficulties overcome thanks to the teams in the ward: «During this period, it is useless to say that we experienced anxiety and doubts - the parents add - but thanks to the support of Doctor Cualbu and the staff we managed to overcome everything in a great way and our daughter was discharged in the best health conditions ».
The intentions of the email are also clear, with which the couple says they want to provide feedback for the work done by the health workers "who not only took care of our children, but also of us parents. We saw doctors playing and cuddling our children and often changing diapers when necessary. This goes beyond their job ."
And placing the emphasis on values such as "humanity and humility" the couple hopes, finally, that the department can be further valued: " We hope that all this will be recognized, because it is an excellence of our territory and must absolutely continue to be there because for us it is a point of reference".
