Clinic closed due to insults. This is the meaning of the sign hanging on the entrance door of the office of Dr. Giovanna Finà, in Palau, who this morning decided to interrupt visits due to some insults received "early in the morning, at 7:45".

The company management of the ASL Gallura reports this, expressing its utmost solidarity towards the doctor.

"We will verify what happened and we hope that there is room for it to resume its service calmly and serenely", the ASL Management informs, " We ask citizens to show respect towards all those health workers who choose to go to the territory, often putting personal aspirations or more comfortable destinations in the background, with the aim of offering a service also to those who live in the most peripheral centers. It is a sign of civilization and opportunity, especially in a historical moment of very serious shortage of general practitioners and maximum pressure for those who practice the health profession".

"All this," concludes the ASL Gallura, "happens on the day in which we celebrate San Luca, evangelist and patron saint of doctors. Respect towards doctors is also due for their dedication to others and to the care of the sick."
