The clearing of the Quartu dog kennel-lager, in the Santu Lianu area , began this morning. There are over 120 animals in “custody”, piled up for a long time among waste and degradation. To facilitate the operations, the two women who ran the illegal business were removed. After the initial tensions, mother and daughter then decided to collaborate. An executive eviction order was pending on the two.
To transfer the dogs to a safe place, the operators of the Shardana kennel are working with them, as well as those of the Dog Hotel, to speed up everything and finish in one day.
On site the ASL, the ASL veterinary service with the ambulance, municipal staff, Sos Quartu volunteers and social workers, who have already found accommodation for the women. The operation is coordinated by the Carabinieri of the Quartu station, with the support of the local police.
