The spotlights will soon come back on at the Cineteatro Nuovo. In the Civic Palace of Quartu Sant'Elena they can now see the target. Invitations for the tender were sent out yesterday. And the Budget, which is approved today, guarantees the realization of what for decades was considered unfinished.

As Graziano Milia, mayor of Sardinia's third largest city, informs, the accounting document «secures our main tenders, including some very important ones. Here I would like to mention in particular the one for the restructuring of the Cineteatro il Nuovo , a work that is finally starting after thirty years of waiting and which will finally give back to the city one of its most important cultural spaces, essential for supporting and promoting that movement of rebirth that has been a mission of our mandate since the beginning".

Yesterday evening invitations were sent to the operators authorized in the regional platform for participation in the tender which will entrust the renovation works of the structure, financed with over 2 million euros through the resources of the Pact for the Development of the Metropolitan City. «All the mandatory verification steps relating to the safety and usability of the acoustics were punctually passed with the Public Entertainment Commission and with the Fire Brigade», informs Milia again. «The works will begin by 2023. What I particularly care about is the fact that in the final project the entire complex was freed from architectural barriers, making it accessible to people with disabilities through lifts and inclined planes that can be easily used by anyone, up to the streets escape and the external ramps of the building: culture in Quartu will truly be for everyone ».
