A composed crowd attended this afternoon the funeral of Giacomo Desogus and Matthias Steri , the two young men, both 28 years old, who died Sunday in the countryside of Santu Lianu during an afternoon of hunting. A long silence greeted the two white coffins lying in front of the altar.

On one side Giacomo Desogus, on the other Matthias Steri, smiling in the photos enclosed in a frame. All around a multitude of people. Relatives, friends, family. The parish priest Don Giulio Madeddu remembered, «Giacomo and Matthias who were two young men full of life and hope who lived the extraordinary gift of friendship: a deep, authentic bond, capable of resisting difficulties and giving strength and joy».

In the end, the hunter friends of the two young men, all dressed in green, carry the coffins on their shoulders to the hearse. There are also others in the churchyard with a balloon in their hand that is being sent flying high. Then the two hearses, overflowing with flowers, set off for the cemetery, where Giacomo and Matthias will rest side by side.
